Where can you find over 50 gluten-free and allergy friendly foods, products and services as well as presentations, demos, and lots of like-minded people?

The Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest of course!

Although the 2-day expo has been around for many years, this was the first year that the GFFAFest was held in Richmond, Virginia.

I enjoyed reconnecting with friends as well as making new friends who are also touched in some way by food allergies or gluten sensitivity/celiac disease.

I tasted delicious desserts, pasta, pizza crust and more!  There were plenty of samples to go around and I left with quite a stash. Throughout the day, I enjoyed discovering new blogs, books and products while speaking with the various entrepreneurs and authors.

Did I mention the fabulous talks and demonstrations?  They had everything from Effective Communication and a Flawless 504 Plan by Kristin Osborne to Gluten free Food Labeling & Food Safety  by Jules Shepard to demos of cooking Gluten-Free Grilled Cheese and Bread Pudding  by Taylor Miller.

Don’t worry if you missed all the fun.  Fortunately, there’s still time to catch the last of the 6 Fests planned this year coming up in Indianapolis and Portland!

Thank you Gluten Free & More magazine, Enjoy Life Foods and all the other sponsors and exhibitors!
